front page news WELCOME TO THE HOME OF SKIDOOSH SILVER TABBIES AND SPOTTIES
Posted by marilyn on Thursday, May 27 @ 13:24:47 BST (2119 reads)

Welcome to my Skidoosh website. My name is Marilyn Storey and I live with my adored  feline  family and my  husband in the small market town of Guisborough,  very close to the picturesque North Yorkshire Moors  in the North East of England.

My Skidoosh prefix was registered with the GCCF over 20 years ago..  in my early breeding days I bred and exhibited Orientals and Siamese, including Oriental blues and lilacs, with some success, having two Grand Champions one of which was the first ever Oriental blue Grand Champion female.

Nowadays I am a small specialist breeder of British Shorthair silver tabbies and spotties,  I love my British silvers, they are wonderful cats, lovely natured easy going felines, so loving and trusting.  I now no longer need to work, so am fortunate enough to have plenty of time to devote myself to my hobby.  I'm  a  member of the small group of breeders known as the Britishsilvercats group. We are  all close friends with cats of similar bloodlines,  and we share the same  caring, responsible breeding ethics,  our cats are tested regularly and are negative for FeLV, FIV, and we are zero titre for Corona virus too.  Most breeders and pet owners are aware of the diseases caused by the Feline Leukaemia and the Feline Immunodeficiency viruses, but many  people are not aware that the common  Feline Corona virus can be just as much a potential danger to our cats having the potential to cause Feline Infectious Peritonitis ( FIP )  if a particular infected cat or kitten is immuno compromised in some way and therefore more susceptible..  it is a very widespread virus particularly in multi cat establishments such as catteries and rescue shelters.  Here is an excellent link with useful information about FIP..

We love our wonderful breed and we try to breed the best silver tabbies that we can.  Our group website is http://www.britishsilvercats.co.uk/   Within our personal group we have some wonderful cats and a lot of experience between us.  All of us have Champion and Grand Champion girls and boys, and there are 4 main stud cats,  one of which is a UK Grand Champion and two are Grand Champions which now sire most of the group's kittens.

AMY'S HALLOWEEN DREAM..

I do not breed many litters of silver kittens  a year,  but those  I do have are of the highest quality,  and they are healthy, happy, well socialised, loving kittens which are occasionally available to caring, responsible, and preferably indoor homes where they will be as cherished and spoilt as they are here at home with me.  I consider having my kittens to be both a joy and a priviledge, and I expect the very best of homes for my babies.

FASCINATION.. Amy as a baby kitten..

Our oldest breeding queen is my Sophie (Leonitara Sophie Sparkles 1cc ) my wonderfully intelligent  black silver spottie girl  who is a cat of real character and most definately the Boss Lady.. and we have two of Sophie's daughters sired by UK Grand Champion Adhirsh Sirhenry Humbug.

Champion Skidoosh Silver Blueskye ( 1 Reserve Grand Ch certificate ) is a blue silver spotted, and her sister Skidoosh Silver Sweetpea is a black silver spotted.  Boo and Pea are now neutered.

Catkin ( Skidoosh Silver Catkin ) is a black silver spotted daughter of my most beautiful queen Lucy ( Grand Champion Evawill Lilly Lucette ) and Grand Champion Vinmar Silver Adonis.   Catkins mum Lucy is now neutered.

My lovely Blossom ( Evawill Cushie Butterfield ) is my youngest breeding girl, she is a very beautiful black silver tabby. She is half sister to my lovely Grand Ch neuter Lucy

Blossom's father is my own silver tabby stud boy Ronaldo Silver Kane.  She has a very good silver pedigree.   We have kept two of Blossom's silver tabby babies from her first litter in May 2007 which was sired by UK Grand Champion Adhursh Sirhenry Humbug.  They are Skidoosh Lilli Marlene and  Skidoosh Grace Kelly ( Grace and Lily ) who are now growing up into beautiful young queens.

Enquiries are always very welcome and I will always try my best to spare the time to help and advise as best I can.  Please email me on marilyn@skidoosh.com  or call me on 01287 201982.
There is also an email link under ' Feedback ' in the navigation section on my Home Page.
